This rural courthouse in Searchlight, NV needed an updated interior renovation to exhibit a more professional aesthetic for a new Judge. The original interior design was in various shades of blue with Old West memorabilia fastened to the walls in the courtroom. This blue theme continued throughout the building and even included flooring. After speaking with the Judge, SSA was able to design a pleasing professional aesthetic. All interior doors were replaced with new doors. Walls were painted and flooring was replaced. The restrooms were completely gutted and renovated with new flooring, wall tile and finishes. ADA accessible benches were to exterior spaces. Laminate that looks like wood was added to existing trim. Countertops were replaced with brown engineered quartz countertops. Some spaces were reconfigured to alleviate staff’s safety concerns. This project was completed on time and on budget.
